Experience

1992-Present: Consulting Programmer – Wrote an accounting and inventory tracking system in FoxPro tailored for the cattle feeding industry. Converted TRAK-TAX application from FoxBASE to FoxPro. TRAK-TAX is used in over 25 cities and counties. Enhanced function that tracks the allocation of taxes paid by the county or city’s businesses and added graphing capability. Contributed Basic and FoxPro programming for large real estate office management software project. Assisted with writing specifications, designing prototypes, defining and creating data structures, programming screens and reports, testing beta versions, and customer support.

1991-92: Accountant / Programmer, 1st Nationwide Bank – Responsible for reconciling receivables with monthly activity totals over $2,000,000. Wrote system to help loan liquidation processors to have accurate receivables aging on a daily basis. Prepared journal vouchers to be posted to the general ledger.

1988-91: Accountant /Programmer, Comet Rice, Inc. – Implemented dBASE IV and FoxPro reporting for cost/sales reports. Programmed computerized purchasing and inventory control methods reducing inventory and storage of supplies and parts. Oversaw installation of Novell Netware Network for 20 users and provided all maintenance on both hardware and software.

1983-88: Accountant, Allen Cattle Company – Provided accounting services for feedlot cattle business with inventories in excess of $1,600,000.
