Microsoft Windows Local Area Network (LAN) – Assisted with maintenance work related to Microsoft Windows LAN with 40+ nodes.

M. J. Bollinger, Inc.

Consulting, Software Integration – Tested for and resolved Y2K issues. Moved custom software application to new system.

Menco

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) – Maintained integrated systems supporting EDI transactions between Menco and Wal-Mart, and generation of shipping labels, bar codes, invoices, and transaction reports. System is comprised of STX (Harbinger/Peregrine Systems) and a custom data management application written in FoxPro (see Database Application Development, Menco, page 4). Upgraded computer hardware and provided training, support, and written technical documentation.

Thomas J. Murphy Insurance

Software and Hardware Installation and Maintenance – Installed and supported numerous computer systems and various software products. Many of the software applications were used to quote auto insurance premiums (e.g. OIS).

NetLink Data-Communications, Inc.

LAN Management – Assisted with administration of LAN with T1 connection to the Internet. Installed operating systems, RAS, etc.

Schools Insurance Group

LAN Installation and Management – Moved from server running Novel Netware to one running Windows NT 4.0. Transitioned workstations from Windows 3.1 to Windows 95, and then to Windows 2000, replacing all hardware in conjunction with each operating system upgrade. Installed and managed application software including Microsoft Office, SBT, and EMS (see Database Application Development, Schools Insurance Group, page 6). Installed and managed printers, including various HP LaserJet printers and two Sharp imaging systems. Added DSL, tape drives, and new nodes in conference room and photocopy area. Upgraded hubs. Provided training, support, and written technical documentation.
